One-Click WebCam Recording!

It sounds like something to do with the embedding. It could be sizing the window to 0, moving it offscreen or setting it to invisible. Try deleting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CuriousTech\MiniCam1\WindowPosition and see if it works again.

Just for the record using CCCP (ffdshow) encoding to xvid I had no trouble with editing any files so far (using movie maker on a separate PC). Made 4 videos of Perth's finest drivers so far

Nice. Are you NoR or SoR? My camera is still offline, USB capture card seems to be the problem

I'm North of the wet stuff but travel 40 minutes to and from the office each day so get tons of footage (only a 120GB HDD but I am able to store over a month of driving front and rear cameras before getting down to 20GB left obviously including a lot installed software).

Curiosity, can you add a button on the center of the screen to toggle preview while recording? Since I leave preview off, when I launch it from inside CF/RR I see a blank screen. I`d like to click on it, and see the option to see what it is recording.

I guess I can do that. It would have to stop recording, toggle preview and restart though.

How have you guys embedded this if you are using RR?

Do you have to press a button within RR to start it, or does it start automatically with RR but you can still press a button to see the skin where it's embedded?

Right now I just have it started up with RR, but not embedded.

Just put in a video capture card (Compro T300) and threw out the EzCap. Now there are no hibernation issues (not related to Minicam) but I have a new problem.

In Minicam, the only resolution it gives for the capture card is 320x240 (29fps) which ends up giving a crap video. I know the capture card is capable of higher as I can view it fullscreen in MPC and I can definitely see it is a higher resolution, and can also record in another program at a higher resolution. Where does Minicam get the information for the resolution? Is it possible to 'force' a resolution, or is it dependent on the capture card drivers?
