curiosity.. xport crashes afetr resuming from hibernation 50% of the time on winXP... (using bu353)
I will answer from my experience.
1. I have used both and Minicam is much better functionally. They both recoed video but minicam has taken it to the next level in terms or being able to customize it for your hardware.
2. GPS overlay allows you to add the data from your GPS receiver on the screen. Alt, speed, direction, time, and date and such. The nice thing is it is written by the author of Xport and so you do not need to tie up a virtual com port to get data to it. It just works. The overlay data can be set to automatically change color based on the image behind it so it is always visible. Very nice feature!
3. Yes it works in windows 7. I have run it in XP, Vista, and Win7 32-bit.
4. I am not sure about when features were added I am describing the features that are present in the current build. Bottom line is it works great. I use it with a USB camera with a built in mic to record out my front window and the resulting files are nice.

I haven't seen a crash in quite a long time. Is it 1.41?
Do you notice if it's scanning ports? Probably not, but worth asking. I guess I should ask what was changed when it started crashing?
sorry, but what is the trick for bringing on the menus? i have to press it like 10times before it comes up.
tap it without moving![]()
The filter probably isn't causing it, but the noise from the GPS when it starts up could be. I haven't changed anything in the reader code in a long time though, so it's kind of strange. Download it again. I just updated it with a purge when it opens. That might be a band-aid to help it out for now. Tell me if it works so at least I know where the problem is. If not maybe I can do a debug thing like I did with minicam.
Hi Guys,
I'm building a carpc and I would like to add my dvb module to watch tv. I've bought easycap usb capture audio & video and downloaded the minicam file on this thread. Evrything works fine but I don't get the audio preview, only on recording.
Is it just my problem or minicam doesn't have the audio preview? Is it possible to implement it?
Doesn't have audio preview. Most sound cards don't either due to an epic sound recording feedback loop.
