Actually guys; whatever I do to Mobile Emulator, I will be doing to it in Mobile Impact. Its feedback and requests that help me make the software really good.
Great Idea! I added the ability to hit Emulator Menus. You have to start a rom then hit the button and it resizes the emulator to show the menu's, Click the button again and it goes back to hiding menus.
I tried FCE ultra and had some problems getting it to work right. I changed from RockNES to Nestopia. Nestopia seems alot more stable and it embeds correctly every time on my development machine.
Im glad you like so much! I have been playing around with it a bit and found that I forgot to disable one of the File List features where it tracks the selection. Its really not actually selecting anything in the list that you see. When you click on the item, its actually sending a command to a hidden control, that is why it really doesnt do anything until after the list is clicked on.
If I hid all controls and made it go to full screen, then it would require a keypress or some sort to return. Many users that have touch screens, dont have keyboards(such as myself) so it wouldnt be possible to return to the menu's unless the emulators maybe responded to a double click or something, but I havent found one that does yet.
I know its kind of abrupt how the program starts a game by a single click, but I wanted it to be as touch friendly as possible. I have a hard time double clicking anything on my touch screen.
I put the Play Game button in it because I had a small bug, where if you were playing a game and then you exited, then went to click on the game again, it didnt do anything. I just fixed that part so now I can take it out.
Keep the comments and suggestions coming.
The updated version is on the website.

Why not make the program in 800x480 resolution? That would give you the ability to have a bigger 4:3 image in the middle, with the buttons on the sides the image instead of below...
Ok so what about touching the screen to bring the menu back?? to hard to implement maybe??
I been playing a little bit and I just have one little problem..... the emulators still opening in a small window before embed. after that everything is good.
Still don't understand if we are clicking in the rooms to load them why we have a play select it button??
Thanks for making 4 ver in one day.... fantastic support.
Thanatos.
Edit:
if the rooms are inside a folder and that folder is inside another (a path like this: C:\video games\Supernintendo\Roms-1\Adventure island) the Nes emulator and Snes crash.
Snes.
Also when I go back to folders the App try to autoplay one of the rooms (I think) and then crash.. when you go reopen the App then you see the rooms.
Thanatos -> Both errors your showing are results from possibly bad Rom files. If you open the emulator manually from the start menu then select file - open or load rom, does it do the same thing? If so, then that confirms the possibly bad roms. Usually if there is a problem in the path or with the program, it will just show a blank screen.
Because I didnt write the emulators; there is now way for me to code it so that it would show the menus again by clicking the game. When the emulators are playing and at full screen, they are on top of everything, so there is no way to code within my program because its all covered. The only way to make it work correctly would be to use a keypress.
Ive considered making a seperate little button, maybe on one of the corners that would be on top of the emulator that you would press to make it go back to mini menu bar mode, but there would be some problems with it not being on top properly or not showing at all etc, its pretty tricky to make outside programs work embedded in another.
Try running those roms manually directly from the emulators using the start menu shortcuts and see if you get the same results. If so, like I said you probably have some bad roms. I have a ton of them, I could post a few to download from my site, just so you could test and make sure they are working. Emulation can be flaky sometimes when the proper circumstances arent met. Let me know. Thanks.

Great Idea, however I know everyone has their preferences, and there are many different hardware setups, so I had to decide on a standard and 800x600 I have found to be the most standard. The Nintendo 64 emulator wont even stretch when a game is run, it stays at 640 by 640 when it loads, which is after it has been embedded and refuses to resize if its playing a game. Thank you for the suggestion.Originally Posted by Mañana
