Cliffnet/ DEI programmer interface

Does anyone know if the cliffnet cable is compatible with other DEI alarms, such as the 690xv?

I thought I saw a thread on here once about someone who hacked the interface, I can't seem to find it.

also, has anyone used the MCB1000?

this module is for switching video input, but apparently has built in support for alarm programming.

"ESP/ESP2 Security System port for OSD of programming and trigger reporting"

anybody use this?....does this support same functionality as a bitwriter programmer?

It's not compatible. You need the DEI Bitwriter. Cliffnet is pure Clifford, and only works on the G4/G5 alarms, which are still Clifford guts. Unlike the shoddy "Clifford" Matrix series, which are just DEI alarms that cost more because they come in a Clifford box.
