    What's the news on this?

Lost, I know this will be a stand alone application, but maybe you could consider also making it a plug in for RR or other front end. This will look sweet with the iDrive skin.

well i have been experimenting with the sdk
plug in or not aside from mph pluggin it to rr i dont see anyother major benifits

see my most recent post in the draw thread i made the an app with the same skinning capbilities as rr

im gonna finish creating that one then will probably change this one around abit and have it be a flash and vb hybrid
utilizing flash mainly for graphs etc and vb for exporting to excel

i think ive gotten overambitious and im going to strip a few functions for the sake of getting a working version out there
ill be releasing Vehicle Maintenence lite

as for the plugin vs exe maybe im missing something but what are some plugins currently used in RR? although someone has gotten the ball rolling on the centrafise plugin i still want to release this at this point its aim all non cf frontends , RR MI FP etc
an exe is simply easier to make then to splice vb code
not saying i wont do it just that currently i have the whole thing written in flash

there really isnt THAT much of a diff plugin vs exe. plugin is built into its own skin instead of running embedded into a generic skin. making it a plugin would mean each invidual skinner would need to add a skin for that plugin

well if that were the case then this apps is going to be friendly to that every line i code im thinking of the possibilities of skinnability and flexibility which is why its taking so long
that plus ive taught myself flash and am learning vb currently just by messing around (the way ive learned everything computer related really)
ive got one or 2 more quirks to deal with in the program and then should have the light version availible for download and critique

A simple .swf file would be good I think

Not cpu hungry like the draw thing

The only thing important to me is

Gas you added (gal., manage, date) and a way to view and print them – I use this for work
Service you did (what, mileage, date) and a way to view them

What do you think you will have in the lite version?

well service like oil tune up etc will not be in the lite version
i want to get it out there so poeple can play with it and give me some feedback
i might have it done sooner than i thought
the organization and spliting of data when oil etc is added is just too much

not to worry tho im 99% sure there wont be any major changes in the file structure so entries SHOULD remain readable if you began loggin gas today

Maybe you could just have a checklist menu with date, mileage for service

That way all maintenance would be short and simple

    1 Oil
    2 Tires
    3 Tuneup
    4 trans
    5 ect.
