Motorola Razr V3 USB ?????

My Razr has a USB input, same as my olympus camedia usb....universal USB. I hooked it up to my PC and....its charging the phone. my computer wont respond to it.

is there a way to set it up as a mass-storage device? or some kind of free/trial software I can use to put mp3's/wallpapers on it? (I did that with my v300 and this is basically the same technology.) thanks.

Yes, you can do this. Register at motomodders.net, that will give you access to all the free software you need. You can also use their software to hack into the phone and move buttons, etc around. Its very cool. I use p2k man. Its a pain to get the drivers set up though.

on a side note, you can't use it with winXP 64bit...

i have the phone, its awesome.

already have my own ring tone, etc on it.

what i would like to do is run it to phoneco, instead of bluetooth. havent read of anyone doing this tho.

and Escalade182, I don't know how the V300 was, but I certainly wouldn't call the Razr a "mass storage device" with it's whopping 7MB of internal memory

(that's the only thing I hate about it.. the limit of memory)

but it's a nice phone.. I'm thinking of replacing it soon for the Motorola A1000 ... we'll see though

yeah I know about mobile phone tools I just dont want to spend $19 (saving up for a mig welder) lol. I'll try that motomobile.net site when I get back home. btw, it didnt call it a mass storage device but thats what it was reconized as, it would say "found motorola v300" and I could only get into that with phone tools, this says "motorola razr v3" and I'm guessing the same but that trial period has long since expired.
