Do any front-ends work like this? Newbie Question, sorry

I've been unable to figure this out, but why do none of the front-ends allow simple music navigation like iTunes or any other music library software. I know everyone hates itunes yada yada, but why cant you just browse through your entire collection by artist, genre, album, etc and have playlists also. Do any of the front ends allow this? I've installed centrafuse and roadrunner and it seems like browsing music is such a hassle. Any information?

    thanks

I'm looking for the same thing!! Currently messing around with skinning my own RR. It looks possible. But I'm damned if I can find something out there already in the format we are after.

I have over 9000 songs. Having one stupid list is rediculous!!!!!

What I was after is two lists. One on the left with the albums, one on the right with the songs in the album. Then I can just click/press the song I want to play. Really, how hard a concept is this!!??

    Sorry, getting frustrated now.

    BTW I've looked at
    Digital dash
    RR
    media engine
    media car
    centrafuse
    iCT

And a few HTPC front ends. Nothing does what you ( and I) are after.

Let us know if you do find anything

As I have said in a couple threads, I would be happy to pay for something that meets my requirements. Eg, works like most other media players out there!

Can someone ban this clown??? In case u ain't noticed dude, everything here is pretty much free at this point (until David justifiably starts charging for CF). What the hell else do you want??? If they are a "disgrace" then write your own.

Jeez, and to make it worse, i've actually spent TIME replying to this tripe...
