    Getting started with navigation

I've got roadrunner running on my desktop. Was going to try frodo next. What's the easiest way to get started with navigation? I'm primarily doing this for navigation and want to make sure the software is going to work well before I actually buy the carPC hardware and was hoping to just test with my notebook in the car for a while.

Is there any free navigation software (for the US)? It seems like in the end, I still need to buy iGuidance, Destinator, or Streets and Trips. I have an MSDN subscription, is the mapoint SDK enough? Is there any link that discusses the pros and cons of each?

    thanks!

You really should try searching the forums rather than asking questions blindly.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
