currently using frodo, i just added more chinese songs to the hd, and can't open in froddo, the folder's empty, but ok to be played in Windows Media Player, my guess it's because Froddo doesn't support the file names, will all other FE be the same?

Just try out other FEs. Can't hurt to try.
It should work with simplified Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). If it's working in WMP. You could also try Centrafuse. A friend of mine has Japanese working in Centrafuse.
