    select song ____
    select artist ____
    begin play
    stop play
    next track
    back track
    pause play
    toggle dj
    toggle shuffle
    what is this

dj is a function that says the name of each song as it begins to play

It will recognize more than one command for play, stop, next etc, i just cant remember them all right now. Now i think this is the right file so if it says something weird, let me know, i will post the other one i have. (no time to test right now)
cool, but it would be nice to know the other commands.

edit: any chance it will work on a p133?

Hey... I downloaded the voice plugin because i was curious about trying something like this also.... I'm having problems.

Mr Burns Keeps saying "terrible at everything; a complete moron", "shutup little girl" " i can't take much more of your blundering numbskullery"

Its not operating correctly... or better yet...I don't know how to operate it. Any help? I've already done the training. I just don't understand how it works i spose.

I say "Computer play".... and get insulted.... Maybe because of this infernal southern accent.... but.... oh well....

Great thread all, I am totally excited to start messing with some stuff tomorrow. What kind of vocal range do ya'll use? Is this something where the microphone can be 2-3 feet from your mouth or does it need to be close? WHat kind of mics are you using? Cheap OEM style ones or something of quality?

    Thanks,
    j3

    Thanks

I have just tried Voodoo in the car for the first time with mixed results.

I am using a pretty good quality directional microphone positoned just in front of the grab handle and it works pretty well.......most of the time but with all things like this it has to work 100% of the time or you become frustrated and end up ripping the damn thing out!!!!

I have to say it works better than I had expected (even with music playing and cruising @ 80mph) so I may just keep it installed and keep tweaking.

You guys are right though Voodoo would benifit from the addition of more commands.

Ive been just starting to play with Voodoo voice, i love it thus far. Im not sure if im going to use it in my car yet. I got bored one day at made a star trek theme for it.. all it is pretty much the star trek computer sounds. I got ****ed at Mr. Burn telling me to shut up. decided to find something a bit nicer.

Where would the best place be in a car for the mic? also what type of mic would be best. I was thinking the headset type coming out from the headrest would be kinda cool but running the wires in the seat would be a pain. I also don't know if, since in a car the space is more confined, the music would affect the voice recognition too much.

That question has a different answer for every person. The M$ SDK is built to calibrate itself with the different types of mics. Obviously, in the ideal situation, a headset is the best. But for a car, this is not possible. I have tried 2 different options.

    1) a headset mic placed in my visor
    2) a remote mic (like the ones you attach to your monitor) in my visor

The second one worked best for me, b/c the SDK accounted for a lot of the disruptions caused by my stereo. As for placing a mic, you just want it as close to your mouth and as far away from the speakers. Another option I considered/am considering is puting the microphone arm from a headset into my headrest.

    Good luck.

What about one of those cordless blue tooth mic/earphone earpieces available for sony Ericsonn GSM phones?

As it is blue tooth, shouldn't it be possible to interface to it with a PC? Looks very borg like.

Where have you heard of these? I've scoured Google and the like, and can't find anything on them.
