    Win95 vrs Win98se

Alright i just aquired some new software..
Win95 w/ USB support and Win98se (would install with 98lite)

I'm going to upgrade the player's OS soon since my boot has all of the sudden increased 1min45sec (used to be 50sec)

    how do the two compaire..?
i've got USB audio and will probably use a USB - serial adapter and maybe a USB HD in the future so support for these options is the deciding factor..

Oh yeah, the original question. Win95 OSR2 will work just fine. People talk about how buggy the USB support was, but I don't recall having any problems with it. I suggest starting with Win95 OSR2 and if you have problems, go to 98. Make sure you get OSR2 and not Win95b or the first release of 95.

If you are going to use USB stuff, go with Win98. The USB support in Win95 was terrible.

As I was falling asleep last night I realized that there was one feature in 95 that when using at a desktop was really quite pointless/annoying, but could work well in a car setup with a small screen and that the screen size and desktop size sliders, that allows you to create a virtual desktop, which I know could have come in handy a few times working on my car (640x480 cuts off too many menus, but a 640x480 screen size with a 800x600 desktop would have allowed me to scoll and see everything). Just my 2 cents, ive never used 95 in my car, 98se is the oldest software ive tried.
