I like a lot about the fact that OBDII info is playing key role here!! Looks good... i would keep most OBDII data on info (static) part of every screen.
So I'm making some headway on my front end.
Now I'm thinking about the front end to control XMMS. Later, when I actually get rid of the gauges totally, I'll probably have the music front end on a separate screen, but for now, they will be combined.
Here's what I got so far, (the volume is going to be a touch slider)
I obviously have to fill in some blanks here, but just looking for a little feedback.
Another thing to point out is that the indicator lights will be less noticable when off, they look half on due to the way I merged the layers.

Until I get the screens physically split out, the car "window" (which is were the OBDII stats will be displayed, but not shown in the shots) will do double duty.
But the radio isn't going to stay up. I'm thinking when you touch the screen (or I'll add a button), it will open up, then after x seconds of no input, disappear again.
