    Hey,

Loftus said in the "Show me your dash displays" thread that his is completely palm controlled, and the Palm connects into a cradle.

You might want to PM him, or email him and ask him for details.

    (post when you get them)

"CodeWarrior" is a program that makes apps for Palm PDA's, but why take time to write another app when PalmAmp,PalmMMC and OmniRemote (create custom panel) are already written and work perfectly. Writing apps would take a long time so why not just use existing software for your Palm.

    PalmMMC screenshot

thats what it looks like, you need PalmAmp and PalmMMC "both" installed on your Palm, then just use PalmMMC to controll winamp.
I don't know of any DOS programs but if you do a search you will find Linux Based apps.

For those interested in something like this for Linux, I found a program for Palm called PalmOrb. It looks like it might work well. It emulates Matrix Orbital screens and even has support for the keypad entry. This might work really well with something like CAJUN.

    yes!

is PALM MMC better then PALM MAPS palm app ?
To me yes it is much easier, why??? because it uses the "Calender" hard button to flip between screens ( Main display, Playlist display, and EQ display ) PalmAmp you have to touch a little area on the top of the screen with the tip of your finger to switch between screens ( i have no idea why they wouldn't assign that function to a hard button ). The Playlist display shows 10 songs at a time where PalmAmp only shows 6 songs. Also a big plus is you can use the "BIG" slide bar in PalmMMC's Playlist screen to jump to the end, middle, begining of playlist. Try that with PalmAmp and i Guarentee that you will have a problem!!

The only drawback that i know exsists is that PalmMMC will not scroll long titles. Even thou there is a box to check that say's it will enable it, it DOS NOT.

Try both out you have nothing to lose since both have to be installed anyhow. Just switch between the two and my bet is you will stick with PalmMMC because of the simple fact of switching screens with the hard button while driving is so much easier.
