Every frontend that I've seen has the ability to skip to the next track in a playlist.
Aside from the obvious winamp mods, is anybody aware of other front ends for carputers that have scroll bars lke winamp does, for skipping through tracks ?
95% of my music collection is dj sets that run for over an hour..... hence the scroll bar lends itself well to skipping to the middle of a djset when you want to hear that favourite track...
Darque, I'm assuming by "dj sets that run for over an hour", he means that each entire set is one huge mp3 lasting over an hour, so skipping tracks isn't a very useful option. I've got one or two mp3's like that.
I would be surprised if any frontend was missing this kind of scroll bar... I know it exists in roadrunner at least
But don't take it from me! here's a quote from a real, live newbie:

okay thanks - i've seen a few that only seem to have skip buttons, and fast forward and rewind buttons. I'm interested ina continuous scroll - i've got calluouses from driving around for 20 minutes with my finger on the fast-forward button of my mp3 cd player...
Thanks anyway.. i'll look at road runner...
Ahhh. FF and RW.
As far as I know, every major front end has these, as well. I know that FP and SD do for certain, as I've actually used those two frontends.
I know SD will behave the way you want by clicking once to start the FF and clicking again to resume playback so you don't have to hold your finger on the FF button.
In Road Runner you can use the Song Position Slider and drag it to the desired position anywhere in the song. The skin has to support it tough.
