Dual Monitor (1xVGA 1xComposite)

Hi,

I have connected a second monitor (800*600) through the composite exit of the epia M10000, and it correctly works.

on this second monitor, the films are seen jerky.

What can I do?

Either you have to find/buy better codec for the video or buy a new better (none VIA) mobo and cpu.

Most likely it's not a codec problem. Are the films jerky on both monitors?

This is a common problem also for the HTPC people. Are you running your second monitor in clone mode (mirror copy of monitor 1) or as an extended desktop?

There was a suggestion made about updating your codecs. Personally I use the nVidia Pure Video codecs for my audio/video. Then I set my codec to use VMR9 and not overlay. . . and a few other settings.

Is the "jerky" like stuttering or is the image tearing horizontally during a pan left or right? Audio is smooth?

I have seen poor video performance like this on the Via boards. The built in video isnt the best, you may want to see if you can allocate more memory to it in the bios. A less intense codec may help, but I have found that the least constraining codecs are the built in ones in Windows.
