desktop like windows 3.11??

u use xp.. and my desktop is reall messy (home pc not car)

anyone know of any way in windows or 3rd party app that will seperate my desktop into different sections so i can orgaize my icons?

i dont want to just turn off auto arrange and move them myself .. i want little sections for each group

anyone know anything??

Yeah. Make folders for your icons and shove 'em on the desktop.

I can't imagine reverting back to WFW3.11. That was garbage.

yeah but folders can be moved around and they can come to the front..
i want something that wont tafe any focus..

I know with Windows 95 and 98 you sould use the old windows shell.. is that still possible in XP?

years ago i made my win 3.1 look like 95 it was fun...but didnt work to well...

anyway...you can make folders in the same place with the quick launch. Then drag them off the start menu and it opens like a window. You can then separate them nicely and all...and as far as i know they dont take focus....

you mean I cant right click and sellect "run wiht compatibility with 98" and then disable themes and run in 640x480 then crash the computer and all other software running to get it to work?

Type "progman" into your run command.

I can't seem to get it working in my current XP Pro install, though... But the program is there. I don't think they ever removed it!

I once spent a half hour configuring it at work. My coworkers thought I was insane!
