Alright, I'm definately expecting anfrom this one, but I've been searching on and off for a while now, and I just broke down with the headache digging through all the information on this site (a great resource but daunting all the same) to find an application that does what a lot of people just dream about, curious as to the reason it can't be done...software that sets up a priority list of programs and only allows one to write to the audio output, so when I'm listening to music and my GPS says "Turn Left" it doesn't get lost to nothingness. If it has been covered someplace else, if you could help me by offering a suggestion as far as what to search, that'd be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!!!
i couldn't find anything on this either. However, Windows Vista Beta 2 has a new sound control that does this.
No more wave and cd player and other stuff, it shows up as an icon of the program and the slider moves that way. So Windows Media Player can be controlled, and Streets and Trips can be adjusted, and Jezzball or whatever, and then master. It is nice. I am not using this in the car though, but hope to soon.
