I've read all 13 pages of this thread and I'm up to speed now.
Would you be willing to release the source code too?

Cool, I'm into (legal) drag racing too, but put the car away for the winter. I have 4.6l, and twin turbos, putting out over 700hp, but it's an Eagle Talon AWD.

Lol, it's Illinois, I usually go to Route 66 in Joliet IL. Usually IHRA or import events. If you are interested, type in "twin engine" in google video, it's one of the video's that come up. I have not heard of the name Naperville used anywhere else. Dell didn't get my return address right for my laptop, and wrote Napa Valley IL!

Nice looking stang there! And looks like some nice work going into your FE. What all do you have done to your mustang? I got an 04, but I'm not running quite as fast as you
Vineet, where did you get a 4.6L engine from for a DSM? I've never seen someone stray AWAY from the 4g63.
Wow I don't know how I missed this thread! enitalp you are the MAN! This is completely awesome! I have been wondering why someone did not consider mplayer as a backend long ago, its the fastest most stable player i've ever used. (I am a linux user, so Ive been using mplayer for years) Plus it plays anything you throw at it.
Enicar is fast as hell, stable from what ive seen so far, and much more responsive than RR. 50megs of RAM is more than acceptable for a frontend this fast to be taking up. When running im at 60 megs and 0-2% cpu use. I would rather have the frontend use RAM than CPU cycles anyday. I am a dedicated RR user but agree the menus are laggy and its kinda clunky. Your code and mplayer seem like a much faster solution and your program directory is so simple compared to RR. I always wondered why RR has the winamp GUI open while its running. It makes so much more sense just to use the core files of the player. Keep it simple and fast. I will test with IG3 tomorrow when I'm done working my double shift. If all goes well I will have it in the stang (on a via m10000) by first of the week for testing.
Damn this frontend has an unbelievable amount of potential to become the next big player in the group. I would ask an admin for a thread in the 'frontends' section. If your code is this fast/stable/low resource, open source AND it runs RR skins native you might as well expect to takeover the frontend market. I'm serious.
Keep up the excellent coding enitalp
