EniCar the RR Clone

Due to the use of mplayer, i support, all video format you can immagine, audio format, dvd, vcd & svcd, with subtitle, and different audio track,and all of this without any codec requirement, you can play all the video without installing all those stupide codec things.
- IGuidance will be native, stop using thousand of external app to make it "works"
- will support multiple camera (including rear view camera, with automatic switching) with recording facility

It will also be fast as my carpc is slow, actually some of the functionnalities are very fast and some are still slow for my taste (including RR skin loading, but i have a plan to make it very very fast).

Here you can find my first version that can be shown, there is still a lot work to do but it start to work, all the base is here.
This version is bundle with my MC2.0 skin, because it's my main test skin, you can try loading other skin but i not guarantee all the result. I have done some test with 4 skins, and some work pretty well and some fall into my bug or still not supported things :)

How to make it work.

Simply unrar all the file
Edit the EniCar.ini mostly for mp3 & video directory and if you want to try to change the skin.

you said that you rewrote it in C++? so do i still need VB6 runtime or not? the reason im asking because im running it with xp embedded and tried to use the least amount of space and also try to make it boot and ready as fast as possible.
I am sorry but what is mplayer? is that media player? if possible, please post the required components of windows need to run your application.

I knew i forget something before making my first showable version. Hope your not mad with this. I love your skin, use it in my car, that's why it was my guinea pig.

Could i use it ? :D

If not i will remove it from my EniCar distribution. Not planing to distribute it with EniCar, it was just because of the first version got a limit support of other skin.

Mplayer mean mplayer. not part of windows.
And EniCar+MPlayer doesn't need really need anything.
No VB Runtime
No Codec installed.

The only "addon" to windows i could think is the flashplayer, You could run EniCar on a fresh windows install without installing anything and play all the video/ song on your pc.

sorry to ask you a question before download the app and try it. i just downloaded and see the mplayer now. but i tried to run it (after edit .ini file) it doesnt seem to alot as well as RR. I tried to change skin also, but gave alot of errors. i think i might wanns stick with RR.
are you familiar with xp embedded? you can choose what kinda component to be with your windows. Thats why i trying to find out.

Don't forget it's version 0.01. Many work to do. It's just a work in progress.

It's just a test to show my work. If people doesn't like it like you i will keep it for me :D

I'm working to make it better every minute. It's a challenge.

i didnt mean anything when i said that your app doens work, it would be nice if we have more choices. and i know what you mean by working every minute to make it better. Please keep working on it, and let us know when you have a new relese so we can try it if yo don mind

I would love to see a RR clone in C++.
Are you planning to release the source code? It's would be nice so other can contribute to the project. I am not sure if I can cuz my C++ experience is very very rusty.

As i said in my first msg, i will publish the source code.

Not now, because of missing functionnality and because some part need to be better.
