    Managing Wireless Networks in VB

    Hi Everyone,

Basically i'm writing a front end using VB.net, Got most things sorted (media wise) Now i'm just having trouble getting my frontend to scan for wireless networks and connect to them.

I have searched everywhere for the info.

Whats the best way to go about doing this?

Netstumbler doesn't connect but can scan and list in browser using scripts.

Any help would be great, becuase i'm really really stuck.

    Thanks,

    Mav

I know writing code to actually detect and connect to the wireless networks would take me ages. Your best bet would be to have Windows open the "Wireless Network Connection" window with all the access points listed. You can then read the list box and print the names of the AP's in your application. I'm working on something very similar right now.

check the forums for wifi hopper. It scans and connects and manages wifi networks. Iuse it in the car and wont go back to anything else. Maybe you could somehow implement it into your coding.
