Thread: Slot Machine Program - Where?

my brother in law actually does the animation for these machines. It is quite funny that some of the machines are windows based. It's rare that you see them come up with faults tho.

Oh wow thats great! Is there anyway to get some actual slot machine software, like the ones used in real machines?

unfortunately not the actual code due to the licencing laws, but my brother in law has a flash slot game that he made up for some fun. If you want it, I will see if I can find it.

There's a few fruit machine emulators around which work a bit like mame...

wish i could find an emu for more current machines tho, cos the old ones are boring in comparison. Must be to stop us practicing and getting an unfair advantage eh?

Whats not funny is to see same message on cash machine that belongs to your bank institute. To my surprise, I have seen same neat "Invalid instruction at..." just a 3 weeks ago on one of them next to my office. To tell the truth it was valuable lesson to me as I dïd not dare to try to widraw some money and to my surprice entire GUI behind the error message was working, I got my money and my card back. Valuable I say because money I withdraw was not taken from my account afterall.

Whats even worse is to see BSOD messages all around plane entertaiment screens during your flight after "Ladies and gentleman we are experiencing technical issues with our communication system and we will be resetting our systems shortly" spoken announcement.
Experienced two years ago on Cathay Pacific flight from HK to Frankfurt.
I have not flew with Cathay Pacific again, but I relised that all others flight entertaiment system I have seen since then everywere were only based on some sort of Unix and X11 (you can see common dotted background and "X" mouse cursor during system start-up).

the ones on our aircraft are winCE based. Yes the system is an unreliable piece of *****
