    JDash 0.2.0 released

The next version of JDash has been released. Once again, this is still a work in progress, but this relese provides some pretty good enhancements.

P.S. I'm looking for someone with Java coding experience who wants to write the ELM Monitor module. I don't have an ELM module, so it would be pretty hard for me to write this module. But.. I'm hoping someone here can. The object structure of JDash makes it pretty easy to create new monitors. If you want to help out, see http://jdash.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/FAQ

Your the 2nd person to have that problem. Have you tried the latest release 0.3.0. I made some major changes to the backend. Including more information when an error occurs. Give that a whurl, and let me know how you make out.

P.S. Much more debugging information is output to the console if you start the application from the command prompt.

Hey I tried to download the new version but I cannot extract it. Says the file is corrupt. My firewall/virus protection at work may be corrupting it though.

I'm not sure why it keeps doing that. But. I've upladed a new release, with a comm port bug fix. I think I might have uploaded the last on in ASCI mode. D'Oh I tested this download, and it works now.

Hey im still having problems. Sorry I have never used Java before so I am of little debugging help. I was actually in the process of making a program in SimuLink to interface with my ecuexplorer data, and wanted to see your interface.

Anyway I attached a printscreen of what error I am getting.

Try deleting the "config.ini" file, then re-running. It should force the "Config" screen to come up. But.. I think I just might have an idea of what the problem is. I'll look into it right now. But.. to start, try putting the JDash directory at the root of your C drive. c:\JDash. It might be the directory name that are messing it up. I'll test it out, and post a fix.

Ok.. it turned out to be an easy fix. 0.3.2 is uploaded now. It should work fine no matter what directory you've put it into.

Hey, hate to be a pain but I am still getting that error. What is the exact process of running the Java exec? I am simply extracting and clicking the jdash.bat file. I will try when I get home as well, there could be somethign funny abuot running it here at work.

Thats quite odd. Did you try v0.3.2? If so, can you please try running jdash.bat from the command prompt. It will output a bunch of stuff that should help me figure out what is going on.

P.S. Your not at all being a pain. I really want this program to do well, and it will take people like you trying it out to find bugs that I missed.
