Just another friendly tip. this may be a one time thing but possibly worth the effort. I noticed if the config.ini file is damaged the program wont run. You can simulate this by saving a blank config.ini file.

Well my system didn't hibernate correctly and the config.ini file got damaged. I had to restore from a back up. In a car this could get cumbersome so I created a fix.bat file to automate it. Maybe you could add some code to restore to defaults if the file becomes corrupt..Just a thought. Again Love the program, hope you can look in to my issues thx man!!!

I stopped working on this project a short while ago (about a year). When I get home I will crack open the code and have a browse through for you. A little donation wouldn't go amiss if you want a bit more haste

You can be assured the donation is in order. Once I saw what it could do I was very tankful. Unfortunately with out the features working I could not really use it. Currently it is being 1/2 used and I wrote a few bat files to make up for some of the other 1/2. I would be happy to resume the project for you as well. C++ is my coding trade but I can handle VB when I have to .. Either way I will show my appreciation.

I am interested in building a loopback adaptor. Can someone please provide some more information on the relays (maybe Radio Shak partnumbers)? I'm not well "learnt" on electronics yet and I would like to cut down on my trips to Radio Shak as much as possible.

My system is already 12V all the way through, but currently wired to straight 12V. I have been looking for a good IGN alternative. Thanks!

I'm just wondering if the directions to make the actual circuit are really at the bottom of post#1, or if I'm slightly retarded :-)

I can't find it anywhere! (

for the RJ45 wiring needed for wake on LAN solution)

Yeah great app ;-)

I use a Danish XP. When I install shutcontrol, it does get installed in C:\Programmer which is the danish equivalent to C:\Program Files. Unfortunately shutcontrol doesn't work, unless I move it to C:\Program Files.

So, somewhere in the code C:\Program Files is hard coded, instead of using a variable.

I know, it's a tiny thing, but if you're going through the code, you might as well fix it ;-)

I'm not sure what your question really is, but the diagram is here, on the first page of this thread.

To answer my own question, I went by Advance Auto parts and picked up a "light relay". That did the trick and now my WOL works perfectly. Thanks for the great information.

Ok guys, the project will be re-opened. I just installed VS .Net and found the some of the source files for the project. After I have finished work tommorow, I will have a look into it.
