Well appreciated mate! I've been on holiday, so I didn't have a chance to check my email. I did stop working on this a little while ago - only because I stopped having a car PC, hence why I don't post frequently in this forum (I simply don't visit anymore).

That's not to say that I won't continue to dev. the software though. The issues seem to be...

• Apps not running on standby
• Apps not running on shutdown
• If the config.ini file is damaged the program wont run
• C:\Program Files is hard coded, instead of using a variable
• How can I use this to close down some apps before hibernating?
• Is it possible to close applications on hibernate, and reopen at startup?

My RAID5 array died a few weeks back and I lost all my applications, including VS, I'll need to get another copy from Uni, then install, then I can have a bash at developing it again. All the above seem more than fixable.

The config file getting corrupted is the biggest issue for me. Everything else I have found work a rounds for.

I get that exact error message.

I was thinking of making a button/script that would copy the ini from a backup folder back to the shutcontrol folder, to fix the problem.

Aint checked this thread for a while, other than that i'm happy with the software. Was thinking it wud be a good idea to add a 'cancel shutdown for xxx secs/mins' for when your filling up the car / away for a few mins) to prevent shutdown.

I just ordered my auto power-on module and just downloaded this nifty little program. I'll never (hopefully) have to press the power button again .

I just tested this program with my laptop and it works great. My setup boots faster than it starts from hibernation so I just set it to shutdown after a certain period of time. I love it!

I have one suggestion though. My setup is setup so that when I turn the car off and the acc line is still on my laptop stays on thanks to the battery. I'd like to set my timer to leave the laptop on for 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes, I'd like it to turn off the car. No problem. Sometimes I sit in my car with the car in this state for longer than 5 minutes like when I'm waiting on a female lol. Anyway, I'd like a box that would pop up while the timer is counting down and maybe have it ask me if I'd like to wait another 5 10 or 15 minutes. Most of the time the 5 minutes that the system can account for would be fine, but I'd like to have it account for all situations if possible. Just something to think about.
