    Thoughts on Autoit X

Not the basic Autoit but the Autoit X the dll version that can be referenced in a VB or C app

I was thinking of making an app to toally control IG using the AutoitX dll but the only thing is that. I've read that autoit itself has been used by some spyware adware programs to populate and gather info. So a requirement of making this app would be to refrence the autoit dll. I am not sure if this would be asking for trouble having the dll registered and possibly having this vunerability.

I since have decided to write the code in VB by itself but i would still like to use some of the powerful features of AutoitX but i dont want to call 15 different scripts

Are there any developers out there that have any insight as to a way to use the dll without registering it or am i ust being paranoid when it comes to having the dll installed. Personally for my own purposes i will probably make the program. but u iwas hoping someone else had an some ideas on the subject

Well I have removed all references to autiitx out of StevieG's AccessControl as I found I could do all the same with VB code. Personally I am not a fan of it.

i dont think there is anything wrong with using the autoit X, its just a scripting lang. I dont belive the autoIT shows up in any of the virus/adware scanners as a threat. Think of it this way. P2P software is just networking software to share data. The RIAA wants it to be illegal because some people use it for illegal stuff, but that dosnt mean P2P itself is anything bad. Just like any kind of code, someone will use it for evil things and that includes just about every computer language created.
