    sat imagery ?

I think Road runner is the way to go with the front end but I'd like to know what I can use as my gps software that will incorporate sat imagery.. it's the one function I really want. Lines and words are dry. Can I just download the complete google earth and use it ?

No, you can't just download GE and use it.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

There is a Google Earth plugin for RoadRunner. Check RR's plugin forum.
You can cache up to 2G of data of google map.

so you use rr's gps setup / interface with Ge's imagery ?
and only 2G of data ? or all of it if you have the entire program ?

is it faster or slower than just installing google earth and running it as an app instead ?
