    Xp Requirements

I looked a MS site about xp and it said 800 x 600 min resolution, will it not run on 640 x 480? I tried the search with no results so, sorry if this has been covered before.

looking at the resolution slider under my XP on my home desktop it will not go below 640x480..... so i guess that is a yes....

but im sure a hack does exist to fix that..... but your XP video card drivers may only be expecting greater than 800X600 res....

    Try display properties>settings>advance>adapter>list all modes...

It gives you listing of all display resolutions your card can support.

    Hope that works

Because using TV out means that 640*480 is more than usable, visually not particularly different to 800*600, and consumes less resources.

You friend presumably first wrote a hack for the setup program which wont allow you to install on a PC with only 32mb?

WinXP will not run, nor even install, on a system with less than 64MB of RAM. I've tried.
