Just to let you know, for additional information, feel free to check out: http://www.dashpc.com/
We also spend time every now and then @ OpenProjects discussing the Linux UI. Give us a yell @ IRC @ OpenProjects
I figured this may help to eventually minimize the duplication of effort on sharing information...
You don't have to post this on every forum, we will look at it if you post it once.
And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?
www.mp3mini.co.uk (Does what it says on the URL) www.openclassic.co.uk (The new car, with zero rust!) www.rob-web.co.uk (My other site)
Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)
crossposting sucks..... your site wont get too popular with that tactic... ....
The DashPC site concentrates specifically on Linux most times, but of course, I don't figure it works out for everybody. Aslo, I do not propose it as a replacement to mp3car.com, but just an additional resource for solutions. Otherwise, I would not have ever created an account here! I suppose my point is: I think it would be beneficial to have some form of documentation site to post solutions to known issues. This may help to eliminate some of the repetitive questions that we tend to see over time. While the forums tend to help, it seems that some folks do not use the "Search" features of mp3car, nor dashpc, nor the12volt...
BTW, I did cross post the same info (This Thread) in 3 different "General" catagories, however, I deleted the duplicate posts when I realized it irked some folks. It was sort of a morbid joke to make a point
