Well someone please answer!?!
I'm just curious if the ads Cadet works in Windows Xp? Since the drivers on their site are from 1997.

As far as I know, it doesn't have drivers for XP or for 2000. I have the card, and I am actually having trouble getting it to work in Win98, but YMMV.
I just ordered the DLink USB radio, and will gave that a shot. I don't ever listen to AM, so I wouldn't really miss that feature.
Twostep
Im still wondering if I should get one (like $13 w/ shipping included). True I dont listen to AM either but having everything in the box would be cool. Then again if it saves me the headache I'd go with the D-link radio instead. Does the D-Link handle hibernation ok?

i have the ADS, and NO NO NO!!!! It will NOT work under XP or 2000... Plus, ADS has some very very poor customer service....
Anyone else with tips on how to get this card working in XP, please write!
System in the works:
Celeron 850 or PIII 933, SB Live! Value into a stock 4 channel amp, ATI vid, 10.4" sharp LCD w/ allen's controller, Elo SW touchscreen overlay and controller, GPS, TV tuner, FW DVD drive, 4 port serial card, and some other stuff....
Loads of ideas.
That's not entirely correct, Clay. I wrote my own player which works fine with the Cadet on W2k. Download it off of my site and try it out. It must be the software that's sent with the card which is incompatitble, but the DLL's function correctly.
If you use their software, it won't work, but if you use your own software, then yes it will work.
where on your site is it ? I looked around but did not see it.Originally posted by Gutter

Hidden in plain sight.
(Check the news section below the girl)
you know I looked at all the other pages but I must have skipped over the news section.
I must have another issue i am working wtih... The dlls do NOT work with my device. They cause problems when trying to init the card.... just out of curiosity, how did you go about installing the card? Insert and let XP detect it?
I will have to try this again soon... Before i do that, i am going to need an ISA elbow or something... my only isa slot if butted right up next to a pci, so the opposite facing cards have conflicting space. any ideas!
Thanks, gutter
