Frontend with decent performance?

Can anyone suggest a frontend that is capable of dealing with large libraries? I'm getting sick of waiting eons to make a search or wait for my playlist to populate.

I am not sure how big your list is, but try Roadrunner.

As a member since 2004 you should know which front end is fast.
Have you tryed al of them?
Still to slow....write your own.

I'm one of the few members who actually makes use of his carputer instead of having a signature forever pegged at "80%"

I'm not trying to act ungrateful because as a software engineer I know how much time and effort these guys are devoting to their respective projects. I just want to know if anyone has noticed database improvements during their own experimentation.

I looked at using an DBFS, but there isn't a decent windows implementation yet so that was a no go.

have you defragged your drive? might help a little!

what is the size of your collection out of interest?

How big is your library.. I use frodo 1.10 and it is sufficiently fast for me with 5000+ songs

it does take about a second or so to fill the all music list.. but thats ok.. since I mostly use custom play lists to listen to my music anyways
