Help needed to alter Video Driver Refresh Rate

ok.. I have a commell 677 motherboard and Cartft posted some intel drivers which you can use to get true 800 x 480. The only problem is my xenarc tft doesnt like the refresh rate there running (defaults to 600 x 480) So I had a quick look and I am thinking I might be able to change this here... I have also attached the full file just incase

just been looking through it. . and I was looking for something that said 72 as thats the refresh rate, but would these make any difference ?

    HKR, Config\1\vbios , default_refresh_0, %REG_DWORD%, 60
    HKR, Config\1\vbios , default_refresh_1, %REG_DWORD%, 60

never played with drivers before so any help please

The actual lines that control the timing parameters are these:

    Code:
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , PixelClock, %REG_DWORD%, 38550
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , HorzActive, %REG_DWORD%, 800
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , HorzSync, %REG_DWORD%, 40
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , HorzSyncPulse, %REG_DWORD%, 80
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , HorzBlank, %REG_DWORD%, 232
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , VertActive, %REG_DWORD%, 480
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , VertSync, %REG_DWORD%, 61
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , VertSyncPulse, %REG_DWORD%, 3
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , VertBlank, %REG_DWORD%, 142
    HKR, Config\1\Port\5\Dtd\1 , Flags, %REG_DWORD%, 0

You can adjust the values in the INF file to the above numbers, which should do the trick.

Or, just download this driver package instead, which I built yesterday for 800x480 on Intel 945GM based onboard graphics:

    http://moschini.org/945GM-800x480.zip

I've been able to confirm that the driver package works, and they were using a 7" Xenarc too.

The driver package I posted should work perfectly.

Apologies for bringing a three month old thread back to life, but if I am unable to change refresh rates using Windows, is my last recourse changing registry information such as this? I have a VIA M10000 motherboard with an integrated graphics processor (VIA/S3G UniChrome), and it only seems to allow a refresh rate of 60Hz, whereas I need to change mine to 75Hz to solve a different issue.

I have yet to get the proper drivers. I attempted to install new drivers this morning before work, but it was not compatible with my chipset. I will have to actually find the drivers while I am in the car, so that I can use some online detection utilities. I am also going to try using powerstrip, but must do some research first.
