I like making mix CD's for my car (it can only play .wav compiled CDs), but the biggest problem is that some recorded songs are recorded at different levels.
Now, I usually make my CD mixes with Roxio, and I click normalize (set for 90%) - and this helps, but many time there is just a big difference between the song recorded levels.
So, a couple of questions:
1) Is there a better software for making CD mixes then Roxio? If so, what is it?
2) Is there software, that will analyze a song's average recorded level, and then allow you to raise it to a certain level?
3) In raising the volume of a .wav file - does it distort the sound?
