How to make your bt878 or other radio/tv tuner work with Radiator

I have an extremerly generic bt878 card and this worked for me. I'm sure it will work for most cards. First step is to download btwdmdrvinstaller5.3.8.zip
from http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/download.html. This is an .exe that will run and allow you to choose your card from a list then install the drivers for that card. If your card is odd like mine it wont be in the list. If it isnt, download btspy from that same site. Install your original drivers and software, then run btspy and follow all the directions. It will create a .txt
Then run btwdmdrvinstaller again. This time for card, choose custom. The next page will allow you to import the .txt. Then install the drivers and install radiator. All should be working. You may need to mess with some of the radiator settings, but I didn't need to. Here is some more info on btspy.

We have the same card though. Ill pm you my spy report. Compare it to yours. Ill make a screenshot of my radiator settings too. I'll post as soon as I get home.
For now try this. Uninstall all drivers. Reinstall your original drivers. Make sure they work with your original software. Run btspy again. Run the .exe to install the new drivers. When this happens, windows will say, "found new hardware." Click cancel. It will ask again. Click cancel again. Restart your computer. It will say found new hardware again. Cancel twice, just as before. Then go into hardware manager and disable the 2 items that have the yellow question marks. I'll make a screen shot of this as well. Try this and let me know. Good luck.

Does your chip say BT878a?

I saw yours but I'm at work so I dont have access to mine at the moment. Pluse we know that mine works. So you can try to create the drivers using my profile. Post a pic of your hardware manager with the sounds column expanded. I'll see if it looks like mine.

Hardaware manager. The 2 with the question marks i had to disable to prevent windows from trying to install new drivers everytime i turned on the computer.

and card profile. This is the profile for the SuperTv tuner. It most likely will not work with others so dont try, unless thats the card you have.

This is fantastic. After removing the original Hauppage drivers, and installing those, fantastic, my copy of Radiator now works, without the XP issue that the Radiator message boards mention.
