I'm not sure this is what you're after but... right click on the layer, blending options, and select the opacity level. That should make it so you can see though the red layer...
That looks incredible btw.
ok.. I have a PNG file (attached) What I'm after doing is making all the red in it transparent, so I can then place a solid colour box underneth to show through, this would make it then very easy to change the colour .. infact I could build it into a front end so it changes the colours on the fly.. just unsure how to do it in photoshop.
hope someone can help

I used colour range from the select on the tool bar
wow if you could get that to slowly pulse colors in a front end, that'd be pretty sweet

Hey guys, I am using BMV2 skin and i wanna have more button so i can link the weather, gas price, picviewer, etc.
I use already skin editor and divided the buttons. Now I want to replace the icons with words so instead of having 10 buttons i will have 16 buttons. How can i add the blue so when i touch a button they look seperate with the blue boundry and i want ofcourse remove the icons (music, radio, etccc) and add words like PHOTO, WEATHER, GASPRICE, etccc.
What do u recommend to use, i tried paint but wasnt impressed with the result. The templates in the skin folder are ofcourse .jpg.
Photoshop is an option but i never used it if some one can guide me or if there is something more easier
Thanks
You'll be fine using photoshop! There's loads of guides around, and it's really user friendly! It has tutorials and help manuals included if your stuck. There is a free trial edition on their website.
