With 1.1.1.0, Streetdeck is crashing if the zoom level is changed. Is this related to this issue? I reverted back to 1.1.0.0 and the problem went away. Went back to 1.1.1.0 and the problem returned. I added a EVDO card which seems to be a resource hog, so not sure if it is adding to MY problems. Right now, I am crashing constantly. Completely wiped out streetdeck and reloaded and problem is still there. Waiting for a 256mb video card and hoping it will free up some resources for the 64mb shared video (which sucks by the way).
I'm not getting any crashes on changing zoom levels. Navigation works when in windowed mode just not in fullscreen. I blame the video driver, but I'm not entirely sure.
Just did a clean install. Updated to latest version.
I use Windows Mobile 6.1's Internet Sharing via USB to my CarPC. I am able to download the satellite data. If I go into Hibernate and come back, I usually get a white screen. If i close and reopen the application, I am typically able to see the appropriate map data.
I posted a ways back, but my car computer is back online. So let's figure this out!!
I think I might have had a bad windows load. Finally got sick of the crashes, so decided to try Vista. Well, THAT was a joke (to say the computer was slow is like saying a turtle is a speed demon). Totally reformatted the harddrive, loaded Windows Media Center 2005 (XP pro 2. Had the original pro on before), loaded all the updates, did not load many programs (like office, etc.), and then loaded Streetdeck 1.0.9.8.
note -- I did get the 256MB video card awhile back and it did make a huge difference.
Anyway, then went directly to 1.1.1.6 and the computer is now running better than it ever has. Streetdeck is fast now and isn't erroring out like it was before. Maps are downloading really fast, and I'm not getting the white screen cycling over and over now. Will keep an eye on it though. Haven't loaded digital mods yet. That will be next.
PS. Anyone want Windows Vista Home Premium? Not sure if it could be activated again.
My opinion is my own.
