By default, streetdeck uses the My Documents\My Music, My Documents\My Pictures, and My Documents\My Videos folder to store music, pictures, and videos respectively.
Additionaly whenever StreetDeck runs, it will automatically indexes all files in the Music path and in doing so will move it to the indexed sub folder. To prevent StreetDeck from moving files in your My Music folder, you should set change your Music Path to My Music and create a new sub folder called import in that folder, then set your Import Music Path to point to it.
To change the paths that StreetDeck uses to store media files. From windows, you must use the media paths tool from the shortcut installed under: Start | Programs | StreetDeck | Tools | Edit Media Paths
