I have took the plunge and started messing around with tweaking a skin I use religiously. Is it possible to create a "shortcut" button on the start menu for such things like "queued music" or "search music" so if i set the button to go right to the keyboard for the music search, I can bypass the music module folders and go to the subfolder.
My opinion is my own.
Sorry, kinda forced my views on you there, didn't I?
Well, if you must have a button, I would suggest you load the SD trial version on a desktop if you haven't already. Open the streetdeck development environment. Then once in there, you can select the button you want to change, or create a new one (copy/paste works), and then you can change the module it controls. It's a major pain as there are idle, highlight, select, press options on the button, so like 4 or 5 overlays for each one.

Oh, oh, oh.......that's a SILLY question!
Just for bragging rights alone (showing it to your friends), the mic is the number one thing you should have. And with one voice plugin? You KNOW the first things your friends are going to do is "Play Michael Bolton". Heck, a $10 radio shack version on the sun visor works great!

I def want to do this. I've been contemplating it for a while, but do have some restricitons. Do you know if the griffin can be bound to set the press and hold to activate voice commands in SD?
I just wanted to work out other options before i do add another usb.
Some issues that have held me back:
Adding a powered usb hub in the front. need to figure out how to fit the larger hub and inverter. Most everything is hidden under my ashtray, but it is already a tight fit. So i'm still limited for room.
I still loose my xenarc usb touchscreen, even after running a direct extenstion cable to the computer. (this is really starting to **** me off.)
Griffin works perfectly for that app. That is what I used before going to the iMon.
Don't worry about usb. For now, go down to radio shack, buy the cheapest mic they have along with an extention cable, plug it into your mic in and run with it! You don't need an expensive mic for voice command. And if one voice doesn't release until July, you got plenty of time to shop and figure out configuration for a good one.
My opinion is my own.
It was pretty easy to do. I know I had to add streetdeck to the griffin program file.....
When you get to that point, remind me and I'll hook the griffin to the laptop and repeat it.

I figured out how to get the search music function bound to a button and have placed it on the start screen. Is there a reason why it cannot search the music unless the media player is initialized. If the first thing I do is search for a song right from start up and this is assuming that no music has began playing yet, search results come back as "nothing found" If i start playing a song and go back and do the same search, bam music is found. When I go into th music module, I do get the pop-up that says "media player initializing" so I do know that the media player has to start-up before the search works. How can I get the media player to intialize from when I double click SD in windows? or how can the search work from the moment I turn on SD.
