And as a side, to both E and daniel, if you click back too many times, it doesnt close RR in all skins. And even in skins where it does happen, all you do is set the exit to make the popup menu where you choose restart/hibernate/power off/exit. .

Unfortuantely, it is all a function of SD (one of the big reasons I stuck with it) allowing for all different kinds of transitions from slide ins, contract and expand from zero, and fade in and fade outs. I wouldn't even know where to start on making the same thing for RR.

I actually like RR for what it is. I really do. I run both SD and RR. However, there is a huge gap between the eye candy of each (IMHO). But there are parts of RR I would pay to get added to SD, like the extensive weather in DFX, the CNN news feed, and Visteon HD radio. I wasn't cutting down RR as a whole, but the carwings skin just didn't live up to what I was looking for. And like I said above, if it was an exact replica of carwings, I would hate it more. lol

I like the concepts of what carwings COULD be (watched a video of carwings and I wasn't even close to impressed) and that is what I am trying to do. Really appreciate the comments!

I put the the newest version in the car and didn't like how the slider was way brighter that the surroundings. So decided to do a major overhaul on the appearance. You guys like it (or if I don't hear differently), this will become the main skin. First off, if you haven't watched the video above, the first picture below shows what I mean by slider and track.

The biggest changes would be separating the track from the background, moving it to the front, and making the slider appear to be moving behind them. I also used a much smaller tube for the slider framing. On my car, the guage cluster is orange and the iMon is blue, so I use the button/background colors on the touchscreen to blend them. So I have set the tracks to go with the buttons and the background to change with the background slider settings. If you prefer the silver, there are B&W versions of both in the skin folder. I also increased the font size as requested. I got rid of the volume outline so speed control volume doesn't show up at all. Cleaned up the speedometer on page 2. Put the checkboxes back in on the setup screens (I had accidentally made them transparent).

Want to see something REALLY cool (this is going to be my permanent setup)? Turn off the static background!

B&W frame version with static background turned off (visualization background). All transitions work the same.

I was wondering when someone was going to notice that.
What, you don't see everyone with metallica right next to enya? Or Barry manilow next to Led Zeppelin? I listen to a very wide range of music. About the only thing I can't listen to is rap.
