This is the final home screen. I was going for a match with my gauges: brushed blue aluminum. The logo is only shown on the home and user screens.

looks good man.... I want to learn how to do those buttons. I like the second one but I would use bigger buttons and have them wrap around the sides of the logo.

    Looks good tho

The default logo is stretched. If you want to make a perfect circle when running on a wide screen display, simply make everything in 1280x768 resolution, then right before you save it to the final PNG file, just resize it to 1024x768 so the circle looks squished, StreetDeck will then stretch it out when displaying on a wide screen.

    Thumbs up

Thanks Chuck. That saved me all of the time I would have otherwise spent trying various scaling factors. It looks perfect now.

I am impressed with the ease with which I was able to create a decent skin simply using some in-the-box objects, a couple of graphic images and some trial-and-error with the SDK. Great bonus tool.

Kudos on the SDK and your support of customizations with it.

But my buttons are also stretched when in 16:9. Must I do this for every button I make, that's ironicly funny

I decided messing with doing individual buttons/overlays and the individual modules was more work than I had time, skill or inclination for. I may pick it up again, but then again maybe someone here will finish it for me...

It's not at all difficult to lift buttons/modules from other skins. There are certainly some good ones in other uploads.

But whatever it works for me for right now. Simple, easy to navigate, good contrast etc. Getting to things like some of the settings is a bit loopy and counter-intuitive though. But it matches my gauges/interior (blue-on-blue)! Kind of nice for me that SD starts out with most defaults to blues.

    Here's the sdz pkg.:

Edit: Link removed. See first post...

    Compliments of putstuff.com http://www.PutStuff.com

Don't be surprised if you get an error after installing the pkg. As long as you're running the latest 1.0.6.0? You should be able to exit SD, re-load and be running the skin.

But I'm not against lifting them from another skin (really just pirated the whole vw skin and dropped the volvo logo and background into it)

SD wouldn't let me package it as an *.sdz, so just unzip into \My Documents\StreetDeck\UI\Skins as a subdirectory and select it in Settings\General\Skins.

The forum resize really pixelated the screenshots. Looks better if you click to view the original jpgs but the color accuracy is horrible either way.
