Awesome! PM sent. Once my G4 gets here, I'm all over this!
I have developed an application that will run on a Palm or Windows Mobile based phone that creates a front end for StreetDeck. The commmunication path is through bluetooth (a standard bluetooth dongle is needed for you Car PC). This is NOT simply replicating the screen through Bluetooth, but rather creating a way to control StreetDeck functions through your phone with a 'phone freindly' UI.
I am looking for testers for various platforms for the preliminary version of the application. Please PM me directly if you are interested. The application involves a client for the phone device as well as a digital mod for StreetDeck. I have tested the application so far on a Palm 650 for Palm OS, and a Palm 750 with Windows Mobile 5.0. You will need a bluetooth dongle (I have tested an Ambicom CompactFlash adapter (1.1) and Kensington (2.0) bluetooth dongle).
Attached are a couple of screen shots of the application running on a Palm device.
My plan is to sell this application for a nominal fee through MP3car. Any testers chosen will be provided a free version and updates.
In your PM, please provide the details of your mobile device and your Car PC specs inculding StreetDeck version, type of bluetooth adapter and version of the Bluetooth stack you are running.
At this point I have Media and Navigation control mapped, but will be enabling and adding other features based on user feedback.

P.M. Sent Hopefully I am selected. This looks to have some good posibilties.
My Phone (8525) has pretty good keyboard and would be nice to be able to use it as keyboard for SD in Nav and search functions. I also have a Treo 650 that I am no longer using that I could also load it on to. That way the backseat people could use it to search for music with out my help.
Yes I think this has some very good possiblities

If you are planning on selling this, I don't think that the folks from streetdeck would be too keen on you using their buttons in your app.

I have already been in discussion with StreetDeck about this product and haven't had any pushback on using some of the graphic elements within this app. If that does need to change, it is easy enough to do...I have created a number of my own graphics for the app anyway.
I have a number of people that have responded...please make sure to Private Message (PM) me, not simply post to this thread. I am targeting releasing a BETA to the selected testiers by Monday, April 9.
