    Thumbs up 1.0.8.1 Update!

Considering this update had multiple threads associated with it about when it was coming out...bashing etc...whatever...I'm REALLY surprised that nobody has even commented on it...

I wanted to say Great job on the update! I'm digging the updated music management interface!

    It was worth the wait!

I'm sure that Chuck and the other developers will be very appreciative.

Like I've been saying all along, it's a pretty big update and that's why it's taken a bit longer.

I especially like how you can go from folder to folder without it automatically playing a song in that folder. It looks like a good update with the music section. I have not tried plugging in my ipod just yet.

I tried running the update while streetdeck was my Shell and it didn't like that so much, I had to boot into windows and turn the background to static... then it worked fine. Not having the background as static KILLED my machine.

So far I am happy.... I think people have not commented on it yet b/c we are still playing with it and trying to get use to the new interface.

    Good job fella's!!

    I like it so far.

One question: How is the indexing of my music working? In the Settings, there is nowhere to select what folder your music is in. So I go into my My Documents and My Music folder and everything is all moved around now. There is a folder called _Indexed (everything I had in my My Music folder got moved into there). Now I have to update all my apps that looked at the filepath My Documents/My Music and expected to see Artist folders there. Not sure I get this. Also, there is a folder called StreetDeck Import. Please let us know a little bit more how this works... Thanks.

_indexed has always been the way StreetDeck worked.

I keep all my music on a seperate partition. It works well, and makes for easy access and organization.

I've been working with 1.0.8.x for a couple weeks (since it was 1.0.7.x, actually - you're not missing anything. TRUST ME! )

I'm really liking the milkdrop background. If you haven't seen it, uncheck the option in preferences to use a static background.

The other thing is the color settings for the app and background. Move the sliders and make the colors your own!

The only downside is that some skins are going to need reworking.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Anyone have crashing problems after they installed? Mine has yet to work right since i installed the update. If it's in the start menu, it hangs completely at the "initializing" screen. If I force it closed and then reopen, it goes right into Nav and appears to work, but when i press the <-- button, it crashes the whole OS and reboots.
Obviously, I'll try a reinstall or some other things, but I was just wondering if anyone else had any issues.

Ok why do I only have one screen. When I click to normal go to the next screen of items (TV,Back-up Cam ...) I get a screen that comes up to remap the buttons on the main screen.
Also My back-up Cam and the TV function will not work now because it can not find the input. It was working in the 1.0.6.3.
Will keep looking for anything else. Everthing else looks to be working good. I do like the additional music items.
