    Exponential Volume Characteristics?

    Hi,

I use SD for months now, and I defined gestures for volume up and down.
Works great so far, but it's a litte bit unhappy, because a volume increase of 4% affects much more at lower volume than on higher.

Therefore it's not possible with the + / - buttons or gestures to set a volume, where it's possible to have a conversation and also listen to music.
This would be possible (with my setup) at 2% of volume, but I'm not able to set it with the buttons / gestures - only with adjust the slider.

Great would be an exponential volume behavior or just different increments depending on volume.

What are your thoughts ?? Especial god of cpu ?

There is an option for exponential volume control that will be available in the next patch.

For now, search the forums for matchvol. It matches the .wav to the master, effectively making the sound coming from mp3s exponential. If you have satellite radio, you need the second version which does line-in, too.

    Really nice idea !!

But I already have to use matchvol, because I go with spdif out and the master changed has no effect.
So also no effect like this...
