xp remote desktop

hi,

i'd like to be able to use xp's remote desktop to bring up the desktop for my carputer, so that i can work on it from inside my house.

remote desktop works fine, but if i try and run streetdesk, it won't start. if streetdesk is already running, and i start up remote desktop, all i see is a black screen, and i can't do anything in streetdesk. i can still get to the windows taskbar and do anything else, i just can't see anything on the screen for sd. if i go back to the carputer, streetdesk is still running fine (it doesn't crash in that situation).

any ideas?

Try using XVNC instead of remote desktop.

vnc seems to be a lot slower, but maybe that's my only option...

yes it is a bit slower but it works. The other options as far as I know are pay for. Stuff like NetSupport works really well but it isn't cheap
