I've managed to be able to change all the colors except for the mapped route. It still shows up the bright green and I changed every color scheme that was green, yet the color for the mapped route is still green. I was changing the scheme for "NAVRoute". Anyone else have this problem?

That is the problem. I am working on this from my desk top and it won't show the map because it is not configured. It won't show a demo map and I don't know if it should.

NAVRoute color doesn't work as it should. The functionality had to be removed because StreetDeck does visual analysis of the map to get around some mappoint limitations with route following and the route always has to be a specific color.

Is that why it looks almost black and white?

No, it should only effect the route color, the other colors don't matter.

i had this problem at first. i was using the downloadable demo on my desktop at first, but like you said, there are no maps. so i re-installed streetdeck using the dvd. streetdeck is still in demo mode since its registration is tied to my car pc, but at least i can see the maps.

after doing this, i found a way to view the map "normally" without a gps receiver connected so that i could see the colors change. here's what i did...

    1. open SD development environment
    2. go to the navigation module
    3. proceed to create a route by address
    4. enter any known address

    now here's the trick...

    5. instead of clicking "begin navigation," click on "view location only." this will bring up a 2-D map of the address you entered. you can zoom in and out and even move the center of focus around.

voila! now you can see the map as you change all the colors.

oh, as far as the "NAVRoute" color, i never even tried to change it. so i never encountered that problem.
