Hi.
Today started testdriving with the now working streetdeck Europe navigation using mappoint.
I have some small issues / questions:
1. The bright colors of the map and roads are very bad visible while driving.
Can these be altered?
I tried setting mappoint to nightmode, but streetdeck doesn't seen to take that over. Also I can't seem to figure out how to set streetdeck itself to nightmode. In settings when I press Nightmode it instantly toggles back to daymode.
2. Since this is a european version for international use:
Is it possible to translate the navigationinstructions to a other language (Dutch in my case)? It seems streetdeck is using it's own fonts so maybe there is a table somewhere we could fill out the translations?
(So when mappoint tells "Turn Left" streetdeck translates it (using this custom table) into "Ga Linksaf"
This is just a thought..

I just got my G4 installed but my installer may have not wired the illumination wire correctly. Until I get it back to him, I thought I would use the 'U' gesture. When I do it from any screen, I get a "Not Available" pop up. Is there another way to switch to "nightmode"?
Can you lower the contrast a bit on your screen? I had to do this when I switched to streetdeck from other frontends.

The u is not possible on teh G4. It's disabled on the G4 install.

OK just confirming, 'U' is disabled and no other way to change to nightmode.
Any news on how to switch to nightview?
the navigation is pretty useless and even more Dangerous when it's dark (the screen illuminates the inside so much it becomes more difficult to see outside).
i have the same problem. while in day mode, the navigation screen just looks like a white screen with the blue arrow on it. is there any way to fix this?Originally Posted by barry0164

You can change all map colors by making your own skin in the development enviornment.

ahhh, excellent!!! is this explained in the skinning tutorial video? if not, i guess i can try to figure it out on my own.
