    XM Channel Not Listing All

How long does it take to recieve all the XM channels? I have all catagories shown and it's been running for about 2 hours now and I still only have 4 channels 1, 130, 143, 247. I subscribed yesterday morning. Any Ideas

that seems off.. call XM back and have them resend the activation code..

all the channels should be there in streetdeck.. but you should only get audio from channel 1 and 247 if XM is not activated...

    Question XM activation issue

I have the exact same problem. Activated XM online yesterday, been listening to preview channel 1 for more than an hour in 3 sessions (commute) yet nothing is changing.

When exactly does the SD retrieve new channels? Does it require SD restart or just happens automagically?

You XM probably didn't get activated. If your XM radio is not on at the time of activation it may never be activated. The channels will update automatically as soon as XM becomes activated.

    Thumbs up Resolved

Indeed it was the activation. XM tech clarified the situation:

    - When we do send the activation signal, which can only be done by you calling us like right now, you have to tune to channel 1 and stay there for 20 minutes within the next hour.

I did this and it didn't work. Called again.

This time, another tech support person looked at the logs and told me this: "oh, previous activation signal, for some reason that I don't understand, didn't go through. Let me resend it, please do this:

Tune to channel 1 for 15 minutes in the next hour
Then change channel to 147 and then
    Change channel to 177.

I obviously asked about 147/177; she said if I didn't do that I may not get all the channels there is.

I didn't buy this last statement but anyway, second time it worked. Just fyi for folks out there having activation issues.

Sorry, I forgot to reply, I logged in the XM site and sent the activation myself so you don't have to call them. It's a neat feature. I'm getting another error that I'll post at a later date on another post.
