Angry Navi with SD am I missing something?

Is there a way to show or use alternative routes in SD? I was driving home today and was about 1mile away from the NJ Parkway and wasnt sure if i was supposed to go north or south, I clicked home on my navi and it was making me turn around going 5+ miles away to get a different highway. Is it possible to have it list multiple routes? Or at the very worst select a specific highway you would like to use?

its not currently a option in streetdeck.. it does sound like avoid tollways are set for you though... (not that I remember if that is even a option in streetdeck)

I have had similar problems. I think it's because it uses map point which is somewhat lousy at it's routes. There should be a way to save routes or something.

You can reroute and chose shortest, quickets, most highways, least highways.

    That's the options currently.

How do you reroute, is there a way of checking the directions of a reroute prior to selecting it?

    create new route > reroute

unfortunately, no way to check directions. You can select the option, have it route you, then zoom out to see how it's taking you. If you don't like it, just create new route again > reroute and select another option to see if you like that route better.

Would it be possible in a future update to have it list the reroutes as text prior to selecting it? It would be better to have multiple options available like you would see on eclipse nav based head units. It gets annoying while driving and you know you can take a specific highway right next to you but your not 100% sure if you need to go North or South or say East or West, yet SD is telling you to turn around and go on a highway 4 miles away.

make the request in the appropriate thread. There's a thread asking what different things users would like to see added to SD.

As I remember, one of the options when setting road speeds is to set the speed for "limited access roads". That's Microsoft-speak for toll roads. By default, it's set pretty low. If you've set your other road speeds much higher, SD might route you away from the tollway because it believes the speed limit on the tollway to be much lower. This would make the highway route "quicker", and if you have "quickest route" selected, it would probably then route you away from the tollway.

Change the roads peed settings and see what happens.
