problems with the new SD upgrade (1.1.0)

I seem to be missing quite a bit of front end textures and the system is verrryyy slow after I upgraded. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? I'm planning on reinstalling SD from the disk and hoping I can reuse my code (the hardware hasn't changed). Any input would be greatly appreciated. I can take pics of the screen too if that helps.

from which version did you upgrade?

and you can do a uninstall/reinstall and reuse the code.. but that will only work if you install it to the same physical hard drive

Oh it's the same hard drive. I was updating from 1.0.6.5 I think.

make sure you go into the settings after the wizard i complete and set everything to be the way you want them.. including the Frame rate.. I think somewhere in between 1.0.6.3 and now something happened to where it resets it to 1fps

that definitely makes it appear very sluggish on my system even though its not

I had a similar problem where it took forever to load SD after the upgrade. Create a text file in the SD directory and name it T3DevControl.dll and delete the original file. That should help speed up initiliazation.

Thanks everyone I'll try some of these and see if I can fix it without reverting back to the old SD.

The FPS was set to 45. I boosted it up to 60 to see if it made a difference and it didn't. I can't get my music or navigation to run anymore. Music tells me I need to reindex and freezes when I try to do so. Navigation tells me I'm on the other side of the country doing 40MPH while sitting at a stand still. Looks like a re-install is inevitable I hope it doesn't do it again after the re-install.

as for navigation, have you gone into the settings and disabled the GPS demo that's normally set out of the box?

Would the update set that back to on?
