I have over 55,000 songs in my car and I do not have this problem.
Many other users have found that certain file names cause problems.
In order to trouble shoot, I recomend that you try adding only sections of the playlist at a time and see if it hangs on a certain section, then narrow it down till you determine if it's hanging on the same files.
SD will pause for a while when loading larger play lists, it does this no matter what music player you use, winamp, WMP, iTunes, Foobar, etc. That doesn't sound like a bug.
In fact, this issue doesn't appear to be a bug, but rather a support issue. Thread moved accordingly. If we determine this is infact a bug, then I will gladly move it back.

very good point Darque.
Since this is such a stripped version of SD, it's going to be very difficult for us to trouble shoot.

true, I cannot use the paging file since my system is running under HORM, only think I can do I think is to install a larger memory module, and get a bigger Compact flash card, however I am uncertain that if I am able to get an 8gb compact flash with 300x speed tho
