Some GPSs seem to perform badly with GPS smoothing. It mostly has to do with how often a particular GPS sends updates that throws it off. Besides using a different GPS, I don't know of any other fixes for it at this time.
I recently changed to a different GPS unit and now, whenever, I turn on the GPS Smooth update feature the map jumps every 20 seconds or so instead of smoothly updating.
If I turn the GPS Smooth update off it works ok, but I lose the smooth update feature - which I love
I looked at raw GPS data and it seems fine.
Has anyone seen this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks!
Mark

I have a bad issue with the stock Microsoft GPS unit (ever since I got it 1 1/2 years ago) that shipped with my trunk mount. I have been through 2 of these and no improvement. Not only that, every 4th or 5th time of resuming from hibernation, it can't seem to find the GPS receiver. Piece of ?? I don't know...
